In our cybersecurity journey, we've consistently seen businesses caught off guard by cyber threats, often scrambling to respond. The industry, stuck in a cycle of slow reactions and stopgap measures, typically leaves these organizations exposed to the same risks, time and again.
The gap in proactive, timely and effective defence mechanisms inspired us to start ThreatLight.

Founding Team
Lisa Landau - CEO & Co-founder
Lisa is a globally experienced leader with a strong background in Cybersecurity. Residing in Tokyo since 2013, she has 16 years experience in the startup ecosystem, initially shaped by her time in the IDF’s Intelligence Directorate.
Lisa has excelled in forming and restructuring business units, launching new products, forming strategic alliances, and significantly enhancing revenue and profitability of business lines. She leverages her multilingual skills, multicultural background and education in International Relations and South East Asian Studies, to navigate global and local business challenges and drive ThreatLight towards innovative solutions and customer satisfaction.
Serves as a Director on Advisory Board of ISIC Organization (International Security Industry Council for Japan).
Tim Shipp - CTO & Co-founder
Tim is a highly experienced Cybersecurity expert with two decades in both offensive and defensive cybersecurity, having built & led Incident Response (IR), Red Team, and Blue Team operations and technological platforms to revolutionize Incident response at scale.
A Major in the British Army Cyber Reserves, serves as a Subject Matter Expert to the British MOD, he brings strong leadership and strategic skills to his role.
Prior to Co-founding ThreatLight, Tim’s career included significant positions in top cybersecurity and technology firms, such as Accenture, Cybereason, Symantec, Airbus and more, contributing to his broad knowledge and innovative approach in the field.
